Before you list

One coastline, two councils. Your suburb decides the rules.

Noosa Shire runs its own short-stay approval. The Sunshine Coast Council area, from Coolum south to Caloundra and the hinterland, has no short-stay permit scheme.

Noosa Heads, Noosaville, Sunshine Beach, Peregian and surrounds need a short-stay approval from Noosa Council, in place since February 2022 and renewed each year. We check your property qualifies, lodge the application and handle every renewal.

Questions Sunshine Coast owners ask

Sunshine Coast Airbnb management, answered.

How much does Airbnb management cost on the Sunshine Coast?

18% + GST of accommodation revenue, or 15% + GST if you have two or more properties, plus a $500 one-off setup fee. Cleaning is charged to the guest, not to you. There's no per-booking surcharge and no lock-in.

Can I still use my place for my own holidays?

Yes, whenever you want. Block any dates in your owner portal and we keep them clear of bookings.

Do I need a permit to Airbnb on the Sunshine Coast?

It depends on the council. In Noosa Shire you need a short-stay approval from Noosa Council, renewed each year, and Lane handles the application and renewals for you. The Sunshine Coast Council area, from Coolum to Caloundra, has no short-stay permit scheme, so zoning, body corporate by-laws and pool safety are the things worth checking.
